Napoleon Dynamite meets Fight Club in this hilarious and thoughtful featurette from director Marlene Mc’Cohen. For high school nerd Genna, life is one long humiliation after another. No friends, constant teasing from the “popular” kids, and a longing to be accepted, all make up the hell that is her life.
Just when it seems things couldn’t possibly be worse, along comes Gia, a “too-cool-for-school” smartass with a desire to bring out the bad girl in Genna. Gia decides that throwing a huge party while Genna’s parents are away seems the best way drag the, “dorkiest of the dorks” out of her shell... But is Gia really who she appears to be? And is popularity actually something worth striving for? Along the way, Genna learns one of the oldest lessons on earth: “Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it”.
